How a job runs

    Visit

    At your home visit, we measure the space and discuss what you want to change. There is no charge or obligation.

    Quote

    The written quote sets out the agreed work, fixed price, payment stages and proposed schedule.

  3. 3

    Build

    We agree a start date with you and coordinate the trades needed for the work. We keep you informed as the job progresses.

  4. 4

    Finish

    We walk round the finished work with you and leave the room ready to use.

Your visit and written quote

At your home visit, we measure the room and discuss the work you want. Your written quote gives a fixed price for the agreed scope.

Room size, materials and any changes to water services or electrics all affect the quote.

Before work starts

Check what is included in your written quote, along with the payment stages and proposed schedule. If you want to change the work, ask us to confirm the scope and any price change in writing.

Questions before we visit

Is the home visit and quote really free?

Yes. We come out, measure up and talk it through with you, then send a written fixed price. There is no charge and no obligation.

How soon can you start?

It depends on the time of year. We will give you an honest start date at the visit and stick to it.

Are you insured?

Yes. Dunlunan Joinery Ltd carries public liability insurance, and we are happy to show the certificate before any work starts.

Do you clear up after yourselves?

Yes. We tidy at the end of every day and leave the room ready to use when we finish.

What areas do you cover?

Dundee and the whole of Angus, including Broughty Ferry, Carnoustie, Arbroath, Forfar, Montrose and Brechin. For larger or commercial jobs we travel further.

Do you need a deposit?

For larger jobs we ask for a deposit towards materials, and the rest in stages. It is all set out in writing with your quote.
